A Grammar of Turkish Sign Language (TİD)

4.6.2. Postnominal modifiers

Two modifiers can occur postnominally in the following orders:

[male one little] there_ıs

'There is a little male.'

(adapted from Nuhbalaoğlu & Özsoy 2014: 16)

[duck baby little nine] there_ıs

'There are nine little baby ducks.'

(adapted from Nuhbalaoğlu & Özsoy 2014: 16)

There are two possible orders where a demonstrative occurs prenominally while two modifiers occur postnominally as exemplified below:

[ix1 dog black two] see3

'I saw the two black dogs.'

(adapted from Nuhbalaoğlu & Özsoy 2014: 16)

[ix1 dog two black] see3

'I saw the two black dogs.'

(adapted from Nuhbalaoğlu & Özsoy 2014: 16)
