2.2.3.1. Full forms
In the Istanbul dialect, the manual signs of the terms for ‘public bus’ and ‘municipality’ are the same but they differ in mouthing. In the first set of pictures below, the manual sign for ‘municipality’ is accompanied by the mouthing of the Turkish word belediye ‘municipality’. In the second set of pictures, the same manual sign is accompanied by the mouthing of the Turkish word otobüs ‘

Another example for mouthing of the full form is illustrated below. In these examples, mouthing is used for disambiguating the words test (deneme in Turkish) and example (örnek in Turkish).
