1.3.1.2. Loan-like
In these compounds, the internal structure (such as the ordering of the elements) is similar to the loan compound in sequential loan-like compounds, including fingerspelled components. The compound meaning ‘DVD driver’ consists of two components, just like the Turkish original. These are sequentially combined in the same way as in Turkish, but the first component is represented by a fingerspelled word. The same is true for the compound r^teacher rehber+öğretmen (guide+teacher) meaning ‘guidance counselor’. See below other examples:
