Deixis is the strategy that uses indexical forms [Pragmatics 6] like personal pronouns (ix1, ix2), temporal (yesterday, tomorrow) and local expressions (here, there) to refer to people or objects present in the conversation context. In DGS, deictic elements can be realized via pointing signs or in case of social deixis on the areas of different height in the frontal space.
